5 Days Maasai Mara Safari

Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi

05:00 hrs. Your driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi area hotel, Nairobi airport or Nairobi area residence and head out to the Masai Mara. We’ll break up our drive with a stop at Narok for breakfast and arrive at the Mara around mid-morning

Day 2 : Full day Maasa1 Mara

We’ll be up early to enjoy the awakening day and the birdsong on the great reserve. This is a day of unlimited game drives so get ready to check off the animals on your “to see” list.

The Maasai Mara features the greatest density of wildlife in this region of Africa and you’re right in the middle of the action.

Should you be here during the Great Migration (July – October) you’ll be witness to the sight of thousands of gazelle, zebra, and wildebeest streaming over the Mara River in search of sustenance.

We’ll visit the river and enjoy a picnic lunch, checking out the hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife action play out before us.

If you wish, you can take an optional visit to the local Maasai people in their village. You’ll learn about their customs, herding lifestyle, and perhaps pick up some of their beaded handiwork.

Another optional treat – an early morning hot air balloon safari over the Maasai Mara! Watch the park come alive and the animals parade in their timeless migration – an unforgettable vision. Just ask your driver/guide to make arrangements.

Day 3 : Full day in Maasai Mara

Today you have an early rise for your estimated 6.15am Safari game drive during which you will see more of the Mara’s great wildlife. After a relaxed breakfast, continue searching for animals . Your afternoon game drive starts at 3.30pm, allowing you to explore further lying parts of the park. You then return back to your Camp by 5pm in time for Tea or Coffee. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 4 :Maasai Village Visit and Nature Walk

You may choose to have a morning and afternoon game drive or even head out to the reserve for a long day game excursion with a packed picnic lunch. or may choose to visit the Maasai village and schools to learn more about their cultural practices and their way of life at an extra cost payable direct to the place of visit

Day 5 : Maasai Mara to Nairobi

At the break of dawn you embark on your concluding game drive in Maasai Mara followed by a leisurely breakfast. Check out by 10am for a return road transfer for Nairobi. ( Optional one way flight back to Nairobi available at additional cost). Arrive Nairobi by early afternoon [ typically by 3pm]. Drop off at your hotel, or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight back home. You may also opt to leave Maasai Mara early to arrive in Nairobi mid morning for a chance to explore Nairobi attraction including ( giraffe center, Karen Blixen museum Daphne Sheldrick elephant orphanage among others) all entry fee to places of visit are payable direct.
