Day 1: Nairobi-Samburu national reserve

14 days Kenya and Tanzania Holiday safaris starts with a pick-up from the Airport/residential area/Hotel. Drive to the Northern part of Kenya, remote Samburu National Reserve located in the South-eastern corner of Samburu District and lies in the Semi-desert Rift-Valley Province. Drive over Kenya’s highlands enjoying scenic view of the local coffee, Tea, Sisals and Pineapples farm.  You will pass through the striking form of Mount Kenya, the pride of our country and its tallest pic. Samburu National Park has got other scenic destinations such as: Koitolor and Ololokwe Mountains. On your way you will have s stop over at Karatina Market which is the largest East Africa open air outlet to buy fruits and vegetable and another stop over at Ibis Hotel for lunch. Upon your arrival, check into the Camp/lodge. Dinner and Overnight at the Camp/Lodge.

Destination: Samburu National Reserve

Day 2: unlimited morning and afternoon game drives

Have breakfast. Continue to explore Samburu wildlife and cultural tours. Look out for lions, leopard Cheetahs among others in the dawning light. Game drives in Samburu Game Reserves offers an excellent sight of the rarely found wildlife species known as the ‘Special Five’ Namely: Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, Gravy’s Zebras, Gerenuk and Beisa Oryx. Return expect to see Elephants, giraffes, buffalos and some beguiling wildlife such as dik-dik, Warthog and the Olive Baboons on the shallow end of Ewaso Ng’iro River. to your lodge/camp for lunch.

Samburu National Reserve is where conservationists Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness, which made her famous in the ‘Borne Free’ book and movie.

Later visit the Samburu people who are distant cousins to the famous Maasai People sharing common traditional code compromising of the eye-catching designed jewellery, blankets and Shuka’s. Samburu village visit gives you an opportunity to experience varies traditional activities such as Making of the traditional ornaments, cattle, goat and camel herding, Milking the cattle’s and ‘High Jump’ dances among others. Day 3: Samburu national reserve – Aberdares national park

After breakfast, check-out from your Camp/Lodge. Exit Samburu National Reserve with a short game drive. Depart for Aberdare’s National Park. Via Katarina Market. Aberdare’s National Park is a highly concentrated by the deep greens of the forest. Aberdare’s National Park compromises of several wildlife-Elephant, Rhino, Monkey and Baboon among others. If you are lucky enough you may also see a rare giant forest fog, a Bongo (Large Antelope) and African Wild Cat. Ornithologist have an opportunity to spot different birdlife species. Aberdare’s National Park consists of the mist-canopied mountains, waterfalls and rainforests.

 

Treetops hotels is the best accommodation highly recommended within the park whereby you are able to view wildlife below-drawn to the Saltlick/waterhole at the comfort of your balcony. After game drive, relax and enjoy the cool climate and mountain breezes. Dinner and Overnight at your Camp/Lodge.

day 4: Aberdares national park-lake Nakuru national park

Have breakfast, Thereafter, hit the road to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will have a stopover at the Thompsons falls. Let’s marvel at this awesome scenery and take as many photos as possible. Carry on with the journey through the dramatic Great Rift Valley landscape. Upon your arrival, check into your Camp/Lodge. Lake Nauru is the place to marvel at the   pink paints as a result of the abundant flamingo’s (Both lesser and Greater flamingos) , Rhinos and the endangered Rothschild’s  giraffes, lions, Cheetah, baboons ,Zebras among others. Dinner and Overnight at your Lodge/Camp.

 Day 5: lake Nakuru national park –Masai mara national reserve

We have our breakfast early at the Camp/Lodge, we will enjoy an early morning game drive in the Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is widely known as a haven for birds and is a habitat for diverse wildlife, giving a new Kenya safari experience from what you will have seen in the previous days. This alkaline lake is covered by pink flamingos on its shorelines; eagles soar out on the sky, with storks and pelicans wading in the shallow parts of the lake. The endangered black and white rhinos plod out from the bushes, buffalos and giraffes stand against the trees and lions can be seen on the tree branches as well. This park also is a habitat to others like the zebras, antelopes, hyenas, waterbucks among many others. This park provides a unique wildlife safari experience and lifetime memories. Later we will exit the park and start our journey to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Along the way, have a stopover for the optional boat ride at an extra cost of $20 p.p.  upon arrival, we can have a short game drive-time permitting, before retiring to our accommodation. Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp.

day 6: unlimited game drive in the majestic Mara plains

(Spice up your memories with an Hot Air Balloon Ride-This is an optional activity with prior arrangements in Maasai Mara at an extra cost of $420p.p-$450 p.p)

Let Us enjoy lavish breakfast. thereafter, you will proceed for extensive game viewing extravaganza. transverse through rolling Savannah grass looking out for wildlife. This reserve is well known for the big cat’s diary. If you are lucky enough, you may encounter pride of lion, herd of elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo. Other animals include the Antelopes, Gazelles, Cheetah, Topi, Wildebeest among Others.

Annually spectacular wildebeest migration takes place between July –October) across Mara River. you will have picnic lunch at Mara River watching the hippos and crocodiles. Return for the afternoon game drive. Later, top up your Kenya Safari with Masai Village visit (Optional activity) at an extra cost of $10 p.p. Local Maasai people have a unique traditional code consisting of the colourful crafted jewellery, ornaments, dress code, cattle, goat and camel herding, milking, their language and the ‘High Jump’ dances along melodious rhythm songs. Dinner and Overnight at the Camp/Lodge.

Day 7: Masaai Mara- Amboseli national park

Have early morning breakfast, then exit the reserve with en route game drive to Amboseli National Park. Amboseli National Park is a scenic destination for the huge herds of elephants commonly known as the ‘Jumbos’, Snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro-tallest peak. This is the best place to take photos with a striking background of Mount Kilimanjaro. Check into your camps. Proceed with evening game drive if time permits. Dinner and Overnight at your Lodge/Camp.

 Destination: Amboseli National Park

Meals: Breakfast, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Plus 1 litre of mineral water

Accommodations: Kibo Safari Camp or Equivalent

 

Day 8: extensive game drive

Have breakfast. Set out on a full day game drive. We are certain to encounter huge herds of elephants at the swampy areas. Meanwhile be also on the lookout for other wildlife such as antelopes, giraffes, warthogs, dik-dik. Moreover, this is one of the best places for birdwatching. Over 400 bird species have been recorded here, including birds of prey, many wetland birds use and nest at the swamp. When the clouds clear off in the evening, you can see the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge/camp.

  Destination: Amboseli National Park

Meals: Breakfast, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Plus 1 litre of mineral water

Day 9: Amboseli national park-Ngorongoro crater via Namanga border

Enjoy your lavish breakfast. Exit the park with picnic lunch boxes as you enjoy en route game drive. You will arrive in Tanzania via the Namanga border. Clear with procedure and customs procedures.  Thereafter Our Tanzania Driver/Guide will transfer you to your hotel Booked on bed and Breakfast.  Evening will be spent on leisure. Dinner at your own arrangements.

Destination: Arusha town

 

Day 10: Arusha- lake Manyara

Embark on a combined Kenya and Tanzania Holiday safari, East Africa Safari to Lake Manyara National Park. The shrouded-Mahogany trees and densely-forested area smile at you as you enter into the park. Apart from the spectacular setting, the park is famous for the unusual tree-climbing lions and the vast elephant herds it was established to protect. The show of the lake is encrusted with pink flamingos and its home to more than 400 species of birds comprising of waterfowl and migrants. Have lunch. Continue with game drive till late in the evening. dinner and overnight at your Lodge/Camp

Day 11: lake Manyara-Serengeti national park

After breakfast. Depart Lake Manyara Park with en route game drive. Drive to Serengeti via Karatu’s picturesque Highland farms and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into Serengeti National Park-The Heart of the Untamed Africa. Travel to the Seronera Central area of the park, one of the finest wildlife habitats: Seronera river –magnetic water source for wildlife species. Arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy afternoon game drive till evening. Expect to spot some of the wildlife namely:  Lions, elephants, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, monkeys among others. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/Lodge.

Destination: Serengeti National Park

Day 12: full day in Serengeti national park

Tanzania Africa safaris is more magical when a whole day is spent on game viewing. Serengeti offers an amazing adventurous experience which does not disappoint. Enormous wildlife ranges, from the endangered rhino species, the big cats, which include the lions, the elusive leopard, cheetahs, etc. and others like zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and the giant African elephants, makes it one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the world, dinner and Overnight at your Camp/Lodge

Destination: Serengeti National Park

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Plus 1 litre of mineral water

Day 13: Serengeti national park –Ngorongoro crater

(Optional Olduvai Gorge Museum visit at an extra cost of $42 per person)

After breakfast exit the park with en route game drive to Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge with picnic lunches. Ngorongoro is a 20km wide volcanic crater with 600m walls. Ngorongoro was declared a UNESCO Site in 2010.Ejoy breathtaking views from the Crater Rim and abundant wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Olduvai George is fame for the discovery of the fossil fragments of early human civilization. Enjoy picnic lunch overlooking the crater. Evening will be spent at leisure.

Day 14: Ngorongoro crater – Arusha

Have breakfast. Enjoy game drives at Ngorongoro Crater. Expect to spot wildlife such as: Leopard, Cheetah, Zebras, Buffalos, Elands, Warthogs, Hippos, Giant African Elephants, Leopards, Cheetahs and lions among others. Depart Ngorongoro to Arusha, upon arrival, you will be transferred back to Nairobi
