The Danish novelist Karen Blixen resided in Kenya from 1914 to 1931, and there is a museum in Nairobi, Kenya, dedicated to her life. The museum, which is housed in the original location of Blixen’s coffee estate, features a collection of her possessions in addition to images and records that detail her time spent in Kenya.
Visitors to the museum can enjoy a guided tour that includes the main home, where Blixen lived and worked, as well as the outbuildings, which include the stables and the coffee factory. The gardens and the adjacent grounds are also open for visitors to explore.
